5 Mostly Free Ways To Stay Sane While Stuck At Home

1. Get Some Long Awaited Tasks Done

Since you are in quarantine, it is an opportunity to do some spring cleaning. Clean the windows, or sort through and organize old photos.  Scan your closet and look for items you can donate to a local organization that helps others overcome adversity.

Be extra productive and listen to a book while working. I am a huge fan of Audible. I am in a book club and I get most of my reading done on my commute to work! Try Audible out. They offer a 30-day trial membership

5. Learn A New Language
Social distancing has kept many people from going to concerts, museums, performing arts centers, and even the zoo. Thanks to enhancements in technology, you can still visit some of these places by watching their live stream. Lincoln Center created a portal that keeps families and communities engaged in the performing arts. It’s called Lincoln Center at Home.
Good Housekeeping.com put together a list of virtual tours, museums, and zoos with their list of the best virtual tours.
I like a good concert and dance party. Many musical artists are throwing quarantine parties. One of my favorites is @dnice. He plays R&B hits from the late 60s to present day. Last Sunday he had 150,000 people watching him spin on Instagram Live.

Yep, binge watching is one way to strengthen your relationship.  There are many new seasons of shows that are coming out on Netflix. One of my favorites is the Ozark

There are also new ones coming to Hulu that I can’t wait to watch like LittleFiresEverywhere. If you currently don’t have Netflix or Hulu, they both offer a 30-day free trial.

5. Learn A New Language

So when this pandemic ends, you may be ready to travel again. What if you want to go to a different country but hesitant because you don’t know the language. This is the perfect time to practice. There are many apps out there like Babbel.

We hope these options will revitalize you and inspire you to try something new!
When times are tough we all reach to someone, something, or as Dennis and I  do, our trust in God, to get us through. We will all come out of this wiser, stronger, more gracious, and more responsible. We pray that you and your family are healthy and safe.
